This chard variety takes on visual and taste characteristics of it’s cousin – spinach. Dark green leaves grow in abundance. Plants are more heat tolerant than spinach, so enjoy for the entirety of the season. Sow in the spring for season-long harvests. Seeds can also be started in summer for fall planting. Overwintered plants make for great source of early spring greens, before these biennials go to seed.
